Hi all, I hooked up the XBOX 360 controller with the wireless gaming receiver on my computer. I can play all the games with the controller, but the controller doesn't working/detected in Forza Horizon 4. The light is lit and appears to be connected to the receiver, but in the Forza Horizon 4 it is just don't detected, in other games its ok.
After updating to Windows 10 2004 update, my Xbox 360 controller stopped working. I followed a tutorial to get it working again, and for the most part it does. However, Forza Horizon 4 doesn't seem to see the controller at all. Has anyone been able to get their 360 controller working on FH4 after the 2004 update? Thanks in advance! I play forza horizon 4 on Xbox using an Xbox elite controller series 2. The controller has paddles on the back and I was hoping to use them to gear shift. But, the paddles need to be assigned to a normal button on the controller, but I have no spare. Sadly the back buttons (Paddles) on the Elite Series 2 (And I presume the Elite Series 1 as I'm getting the exact same bug, every time I push a button on my xbox controller which is connected wirelessly to my pc it comes up with the 'please connect a controller' prompt and 'push enter' in the bottom left corner, the controller is connected because I push the enter key, then I push a button on my controller and the message comes up again straight away.

I just bought a brand new Xbox controller and it doesn't seem to work for Forza Horizon 4 :( Sometimes at the start of the game, I can start the game by pressing A and then after that, it will not recognise any controller inputs other than the Xbox button. I have installed the Xbox controller app from the Microsoft Windows store so I know it works.

I had a controller problem a few years ago, and it was caused by Steam. Check in the Steam settings if any controller compatibility mode is turned on, that might interfere with xbox games. That doesn't matter as far as I know. I was playing the Windows 10/Xbox version of FH3, and Steam was still messing up the controls.
